The report is generated from country-level profession snapshots computed from SphereScout’s database. Country rows are checked for freshness and metric consistency before publication.
Aggregate
Compute company, contact, and coverage metrics separately inside each country.
Validate
Reject invalid timestamps, negative counts, impossible company coverage, and inconsistent percentages.
Publish
Present comparable country figures with their original snapshot dates and documented definitions.
Metric definitions and limits
- Hotels listed
- Public accommodation listings mapped to SphereScout’s documented hotel taxonomy. This dataset can include mapped hotel subtypes and is not directly comparable to official establishment statistics.
- Companies with email
- Listed companies with at least one email address in the country snapshot.
- Companies with website
- Listed companies with a non-empty public website field at snapshot time. This indicates web presence within the report’s SphereScout dataset; it is not a national digitalization index.
- Unique emails
- Email values deduplicated within one country snapshot. The cross-country total is a sum of those country counts and is not globally deduplicated.
- Contact count
- SphereScout’s snapshot contact metric. It is not used as a synonym for companies, unique emails, or unique phone numbers.
- Coverage rate
- Companies with the contact method divided by total listed companies, rounded to one decimal place.
Scope
Coverage varies by country and reflects public sources indexed and categorized by SphereScout. Counts can change as sources are refreshed, duplicate records are resolved, businesses open or close, and taxonomy rules improve.
