How to interpret Hungary business data

Choose the geographic level that matches the territory

Build Hungarian territories from Budapest or county, then use available district, settlement, city, town, village, address, and postcode data. Budapest is its own capital-region with 23 districts; the rest of the country is divided into 19 counties, so city-only targeting misses useful county and route context.

Number of settlements and population by population-size categories

The CSV is separate from the official business register

The CSV supplies available public venue names, categories, locations, websites, social links, emails, and telephones. It does not supply company or entrepreneur registration numbers, tax numbers, legal form, status, TEÁOR, NTAK registration, operators, employees, turnover, named decision-makers, or consent records.

Company information portal

Using business contacts in Hungary

Hungary's electronic-advertising opt-in rule applies when advertising by email or an equivalent direct channel is addressed to a natural person. A company as a non-natural person falls outside the GDPR definition of personal data, but a sole trader, named employee, or person-linked mailbox requires both the applicable channel permission and a GDPR basis. Classify the recipient and mailbox ownership before sending.

  • Normalize names, addresses, websites, and domains, then match companies through the official company-information service and individual entrepreneurs through the NAV register. Keep the identifier, status, address evidence, and match confidence; no match means unresolved.
  • Confirm that the mailbox belongs to the matched company rather than a natural person. A role inbox on the company's own domain is strong evidence; Gmail and other webmail require ownership checks but do not prove sole-trader status.
  • Do not send unsolicited electronic advertising to a natural person without prior clear and explicit consent or another specifically applicable statutory route. Publication of an address is not consent.
  • Where a record identifies a person, document the GDPR lawful basis, necessity, expectations, and safeguards, provide the required information, and stop direct marketing after an objection.
  • Identify the sender, keep the offer relevant to the recipient's business activity, provide a simple free unsubscribe route, and apply one suppression list before every campaign.

Telephone outreach has separate direct-marketing and consumer rules. Confirm recipient status, channel permission, caller identity, and prior objections before calling; do not reuse the email classification as automatic call permission.

Classify the file before email outreach

Classify the file before email outreachEvidenceEmail treatment
Company with confirmed business mailboxA strong Company Register match identifies an active company, while its current website or address ties the mailbox to that company rather than to a named person.Relevant B2B email can be addressed to the company without treating the company data as personal data. Identify the sender, provide a free opt-out, and apply GDPR controls if any other field identifies a person.
Natural recipient or individual entrepreneurThe NAV register, address, or mailbox identifies an individual entrepreneur, named employee, or another natural recipient.Do not send unsolicited electronic advertising without documented prior consent or another specifically applicable statutory route. Retain the permission evidence and honor withdrawal.
Business or mailbox unresolvedThe company match is weak, the trading name differs, mailbox ownership is unclear, a webmail address is uncorroborated, or the source is stale.Verify or exclude before email. Do not infer a company from a domain alone or an individual entrepreneur from a registry non-match.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. 1

    Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. 2

    Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. 3

Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Questions before choosing a list for Hungary

Can I buy a business email list for Hungary by industry?

Yes. Each industry row shows the current business count, the number of businesses with email, a masked sample and the one-time price when available. Open one file or use the custom builder to combine business categories.

Does every Hungarian business profile include an email address?

No. Public email availability varies by industry and business profile. The comparison table shows both the number of businesses with at least one email and their share of all businesses in each file.

Can I narrow a list for Hungary by location?

Use the custom builder when territory matters. Depending on the public profile, available fields can include Budapest or county (vármegye), district, including Budapest's 23 districts and settlement, city, town, village, address, or postcode area.

Does the Hungary CSV include official registration numbers or activity codes?

No. A row represents a public business or location profile. The current export does not include company registration number (cégjegyzékszám) for registered companies; registration number for individual entrepreneurs, TEÁOR'25 code, legal form, register status, employee count or revenue.

Does buying the file authorize marketing in Hungary?

Hungary's electronic-advertising opt-in rule applies when advertising by email or an equivalent direct channel is addressed to a natural person. A company as a non-natural person falls outside the GDPR definition of personal data, but a sole trader, named employee, or person-linked mailbox requires both the applicable channel permission and a GDPR basis. Classify the recipient and mailbox ownership before sending.

How do I receive the file after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, SphereScout prepares your CSV and emails a download link to the address entered at checkout.

Is this a subscription? Are updates included?

No. The listed price is a one-time payment for the file described at checkout. It does not include future updates unless explicitly stated. Platform subscriptions are separate.

Do the email counts guarantee delivery?

No. They count addresses present in the data, not successful deliveries or inbox placements. The percentage of businesses with email is not a deliverability rate.
