How to interpret Greece business data

Choose the geographic level that matches the territory

Plan Greek restaurant coverage by region and regional unit, then use municipality, island, city, settlement, address, and postcode information where available. Attica is both a region and the country's largest urban market; Crete, the Ionian Islands, and the North and South Aegean require island-aware territories rather than an Athens-only city list.

Structure and operation of local and regional democracy in Greece

The CSV is separate from the official business register

The CSV delivers available public venue names, categories, locations, websites, social links, emails, and telephones. It does not include GEMI or AFM identifiers, legal form, status, KAD codes, OpenBusiness notifications, permits, inspections, operators, employees, turnover, named decision-makers, or consent evidence.

Using business contacts in Greece

Article 11 of Greek Law 3471/2006 requires prior consent for unsolicited direct-marketing email to subscribers, and its subscriber definition includes natural and legal persons. The limited exception is for contact details lawfully obtained through a sale or similar transaction for the sender's own similar offers, with a free opt-out at collection and in every message. A company mailbox, generic address, GEMI match, or legitimate-interest assessment does not remove this channel rule.

  • Separate records with documented prior electronic-marketing consent from public contacts that have no permission record. SphereScout does not supply consent evidence.
  • Use the existing-customer exception only when your organization obtained the address through its own sale or similar transaction, markets its own similar products or services, and offered a simple free objection both at collection and in every message.
  • Do not treat a GEMI match, company domain, role inbox, webmail address, or published business contact as consent. These details help identify the recipient but do not create email permission.
  • Where a record identifies a person, document the GDPR lawful basis and provide the required privacy information. Legitimate interests can support personal-data processing only when the separate electronic-marketing rule is also met.
  • State the sender clearly, provide a valid free opt-out route, stop after withdrawal or objection, and screen one suppression list before every campaign.

Live marketing calls follow a separate objection-based rule under Article 11. Check the provider's opt-out directory and your own suppression records, identify the caller, and stop after an objection; email permission cannot be inferred from call eligibility.

Documented prior consentA current, specific, attributable permission record covers electronic marketing from your organization to this subscriber.Send only within the stated scope. Identify the sender, include a free opt-out, retain the permission record, and suppress immediately after withdrawal.
Eligible existing customerYour organization obtained the address through its own sale or similar transaction, the offer is for its own similar products or services, and the recipient received the required opt-out at collection. The limited existing-customer route can apply. Include the free opt-out in every message and do not extend the exception to bought or scraped contacts.
Public contact without permission evidenceThe address came from a public profile, third-party list, website, GEMI match, generic inbox, or another source that provides no attributable consent or qualifying customer relationship.Do not send unsolicited marketing email. Use the data for account research, territory planning, compliant calls, direct mail, or permission-building activity instead.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. 1

    Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. 2

    Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. 3

Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Questions before choosing a list for Greece

Can I buy a business email list for Greece by industry?

Yes. Each industry row shows the current business count, the number of businesses with email, a masked sample and the one-time price when available. Open one file or use the custom builder to combine business categories.

Does every Greek business profile include an email address?

No. Public email availability varies by industry and business profile. The comparison table shows both the number of businesses with at least one email and their share of all businesses in each file.

Can I narrow a list for Greece by location?

Use the custom builder when territory matters. Depending on the public profile, available fields can include region, including Attica, Central Macedonia, Crete, and the island regions, regional unit and municipality, island, city, town, settlement, address, or postcode area.

Does the Greece CSV include official registration numbers or activity codes?

No. A row represents a public business or location profile. The current export does not include GEMI number for registered businesses and AFM tax identification number for operators, KAD 2025 code, legal form, register status, employee count or revenue.

Does buying the file authorize marketing in Greece?

Article 11 of Greek Law 3471/2006 requires prior consent for unsolicited direct-marketing email to subscribers, and its subscriber definition includes natural and legal persons. The limited exception is for contact details lawfully obtained through a sale or similar transaction for the sender's own similar offers, with a free opt-out at collection and in every message. A company mailbox, generic address, GEMI match, or legitimate-interest assessment does not remove this channel rule.

How do I receive the file after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, SphereScout prepares your CSV and emails a download link to the address entered at checkout.

Is this a subscription? Are updates included?

No. The listed price is a one-time payment for the file described at checkout. It does not include future updates unless explicitly stated. Platform subscriptions are separate.

Do the email counts guarantee delivery?

No. They count addresses present in the data, not successful deliveries or inbox placements. The percentage of businesses with email is not a deliverability rate.
