How to interpret Belgium business data

Choose the geographic level that matches the territory

Belgian targeting should distinguish the three regions, the provinces, and municipalities or localities. Brussels-Capital is a region outside the provincial structure. The 2025 municipal mergers also make the file's update date relevant when interpreting local names and groupings.

Code REFNIS 2025

The CSV is separate from the official business register

A SphereScout row is a public business or establishment profile, not a BCE/KBO record. The file contains available contact, category, and geographic data, but currently does not include enterprise or establishment-unit numbers, NACE-BEL codes, legal form, authorizations, employee count, or revenue.

Using business contacts in Belgium

Belgium permits B2B advertising without prior consent, under conditions, to an address that is clearly an impersonal inbox of a legal person, such as info@ or contact@. The exception does not cover a named employee's address or a self-employed natural person's address, and buying the file never removes the sender's duty to classify the recipient.

  • Separate impersonal legal-person inboxes from named addresses and contacts belonging to self-employed natural persons.
  • Use the legal-person exception only for an offer aimed at organizations and relevant to the targeted activity or department.
  • For any personal data, document the legal basis, why the targeting is necessary, and the person's reasonable expectations.
  • Identify the sender clearly, explain the right to object, and include a reply address or another simple opt-out route in every message.
  • Stop solicitation after an objection and maintain a reliable suppression list.

Before any commercial telephone campaign in Belgium, including B2B calling, obtain the required access to the Ne m'appelez plus list and remove registered numbers. Check it before each campaign, combine it with your own objections, and retain dated evidence of the screening.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. 1

    Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. 2

    Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. 3

Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Questions before choosing a list for Belgium

Can I buy a business email list for Belgium by industry?

Yes. Each industry row shows the current business count, the number of businesses with email, a masked sample and the one-time price when available. Open one file or use the custom builder to combine business categories.

Does every Belgian business profile include an email address?

No. Public email availability varies by industry and business profile. The comparison table shows both the number of businesses with at least one email and their share of all businesses in each file.

Can I narrow a list for Belgium by location?

Use the custom builder when territory matters. Depending on the public profile, available fields can include region, province or Brussels-Capital administrative area and municipality or locality.

Does the Belgium CSV include official registration numbers or activity codes?

No. A row represents a public business or location profile. The current export does not include numero d'entreprise, code NACE-BEL, legal form, register status, employee count or revenue.

Does buying the file authorize marketing in Belgium?

Belgium permits B2B advertising without prior consent, under conditions, to an address that is clearly an impersonal inbox of a legal person, such as info@ or contact@. The exception does not cover a named employee's address or a self-employed natural person's address, and buying the file never removes the sender's duty to classify the recipient.

How do I receive the file after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, SphereScout prepares your CSV and emails a download link to the address entered at checkout.

Is this a subscription? Are updates included?

No. The listed price is a one-time payment for the file described at checkout. It does not include future updates unless explicitly stated. Platform subscriptions are separate.

Do the email counts guarantee delivery?

No. They count addresses present in the data, not successful deliveries or inbox placements. The percentage of businesses with email is not a deliverability rate.
