How to interpret Brazil business data

Choose the geographic level that matches the territory

Brazil has 26 states, the Federal District, and 5,570 municipalities. Divide a nationwide file first by federation unit and municipality, then by neighborhood, locality, or postcode when those fields are available.

The CSV is separate from the official business register

The export assembles available public fields for establishments and operating locations. It does not supply CNPJ, legal nature, register status, CNAE, tax regime, revenue, staff, sanitary licensing, inspections, or documented marketing permission.

Using business contacts in Brazil

Brazil's LGPD applies when a field identifies or can identify a natural person. Legitimate interest can support processing non-sensitive personal data for relevant B2B prospecting, but it requires a specific purpose, necessity, reasonable-expectation review, balancing, transparency, and safeguards. Buying the file does not make a campaign automatically LGPD-compliant.

  • Define an offer related to the establishment's business and use only fields necessary for that purpose.
  • Separate institutional inboxes from data that identifies a person. CNPJ, a custom domain, Gmail, or a trading name does not settle that classification alone.
  • Where personal data is involved, record the lawful basis and, for legitimate interest, document purpose, necessity, expectations, impact, and safeguards.
  • State who is contacting the recipient, why the data is used, its source, and how rights can be exercised. Provide a simple opt-out in the first message.
  • Act on applicable correction, objection, blocking, or deletion requests and retain suppression data so a refusal is not later overwritten.

For telephone prospecting, identify the caller, use reasonable timing and frequency, record refusals, and check any sectoral or state rules applying to the offer and audience. A public number does not remove data-subject rights or justify indiscriminate calling.

Classify contacts before outreach

Classify contacts before outreachWhat to establishTreatment
Institutional inboxThe address clearly represents the establishment or a general business function and does not identify a natural person.Send only a relevant B2B proposition, identify the sender and source, and provide a simple refusal route.
Person-identifying contactThe email, phone, or combined fields identify an owner, worker, MEI, or individual entrepreneur.Apply the LGPD, document the legal hypothesis and assessment, minimize fields, and facilitate data-subject rights.
Unresolved relationshipThe inbox cannot be tied confidently to the correct business or person, or the name, domain, and location conflict.Validate or enrich before use. A corporate domain or webmail provider is not sufficient proof of identity or permission.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. 1

    Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. 2

    Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. 3

Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Questions before choosing a list for Brazil

Can I buy a business email list for Brazil by industry?

Yes. Each industry row shows the current business count, the number of businesses with email, a masked sample and the one-time price when available. Open one file or use the custom builder to combine business categories.

Does every Brazilian business profile include an email address?

No. Public email availability varies by industry and business profile. The comparison table shows both the number of businesses with at least one email and their share of all businesses in each file.

Can I narrow a list for Brazil by location?

Use the custom builder when territory matters. Depending on the public profile, available fields can include Unidade da Federaรงรฃo (state or Federal District), municรญpio and district, neighborhood, city, locality, or CEP area.

Does the Brazil CSV include official registration numbers or activity codes?

No. The CSV does not include CNPJ registration numbers or CNAE activity codes. Legal form, registration status, employee counts and revenue are also outside its scope.

Does buying the file authorize marketing in Brazil?

Brazil's LGPD applies when a field identifies or can identify a natural person. Legitimate interest can support processing non-sensitive personal data for relevant B2B prospecting, but it requires a specific purpose, necessity, reasonable-expectation review, balancing, transparency, and safeguards. Buying the file does not make a campaign automatically LGPD-compliant.

How do I receive the file after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, SphereScout prepares your CSV and emails a download link to the address entered at checkout.

Is this a subscription? Are updates included?

No. The listed price is a one-time payment for the file described at checkout. It does not include future updates unless explicitly stated. Platform subscriptions are separate.

Do the email counts guarantee delivery?

No. They count addresses present in the data, not successful deliveries or inbox placements. The percentage of businesses with email is not a deliverability rate.
