What the Australian figures mean

Target states and territories first

Australian targeting should use states and territories, then local government or regional areas, suburbs, localities, cities, and postcodes. ASGS Edition 4 began rolling out in July 2026, while some local-government and suburb structures remain on the earlier edition until their scheduled release. The file therefore uses the location fields available in each public profile rather than claiming one complete ASGS hierarchy.

Australian Statistical Geography Standard

This is not an ABR or ASIC export

A SphereScout row is a public business or location profile, not an ABR or ASIC record. The file contains available contact, category, and location data, but currently does not include ABN, ACN, ANZSIC code, legal structure, employee count, or revenue.

Using business contacts in Australia

Buying a marketing list does not transfer Spam Act consent. The sender remains responsible for proving express or valid inferred consent for every commercial email or message, identifying the sender, and providing a working unsubscribe route.

  • Keep recipient-level evidence of express consent or document why inferred consent applies to the relationship, role, and message.
  • Treat a publicly listed role address as inferred consent only when the message is relevant to that role and the publication does not reject unsolicited marketing.
  • Identify the authorizing business accurately and keep its contact details valid for at least 30 days after sending.
  • Provide a clear, free unsubscribe method, keep it functional for at least 30 days, and action requests within five working days.
  • Do not use or supply lists created with address-harvesting software.

Business telephone numbers used primarily for business cannot generally be added to the Do Not Call Register, but private or mixed-use numbers can be protected. Classify numbers before calling, wash lists when required, and follow the national calling-time, caller-ID, identification, and termination rules even for numbers not on the register.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. 1

    Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorisations.

  2. 2

    Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. 3

Publish current counts and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and current record counts, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Questions before choosing an Australian list

Can I buy an Australian business email list by industry?

Yes. Use the table to compare Australian industry lists by business count, the number of businesses with email, masked sample and price. Open an industry to review the current file before purchase.

Does every Australian business profile have an email address?

No. Public email availability differs materially by industry. Use the comparison table to check both the number of businesses with email and their share of all businesses in the list.

Can I filter an Australian list by state or postcode?

Use the custom builder for geographic selection. Depending on the public profile, location fields can include state or territory, city, suburb, locality and postcode.

Does the CSV contain ABNs, ACNs or ANZSIC codes?

No. SphereScout exports public business-profile contact and location fields. It does not currently include ABN, ACN, ANZSIC code, legal structure, employee count or revenue.

Does buying an Australian email list provide Spam Act consent?

No. The sender remains responsible for establishing express or valid inferred consent, identifying the sender accurately and providing a working unsubscribe method for each commercial message.

How do I receive the file after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, SphereScout prepares your CSV and emails a download link to the address entered at checkout.

Is this a subscription? Are updates included?

No. The listed price is a one-time payment for the file described at checkout. It does not include future updates unless explicitly stated. Platform subscriptions are separate.

Do the email counts guarantee delivery?

No. They count addresses present in the data, not successful deliveries or inbox placements. The percentage of businesses with email is not a deliverability rate.
