What does the Australian restaurant contact file contain?

This download is for businesses selling to Australian restaurants and related hospitality venues. It supplies public business contact routes; it does not contain diners, booking guests, loyalty members, or a venue's subscriber list.

What each row describes

A public profile for a business or operating location. Its email and phone details may route to the venue, an office, or a central team; they do not promise the owner's or manager's direct details. The row is not an ABR entity record, an ANZSIC classification, or proof that a food regulator has licensed or received notification from that location.

What the download covers

The restaurant category and its live mix of cafes, coffee shops, cuisine-led venues, fast-food businesses, bars, caterers, event venues, and other listed hospitality types.

Columns supplied when data is available

What the download covers

  • Publicly available business identity, contact, category, website, address, suburb or locality, state or territory, and postcode values when attached to the profile.

What you should not expect

  • Diner emails, reservation or delivery-order histories, loyalty accounts, reviews, menus, item prices, or customer behaviour data.
  • Guaranteed owner, manager, chef, procurement, or franchise contacts; employee and revenue figures; chain ownership; or direct job titles.
  • ABNs, ACNs, ANZSIC codes, legal structure, food-business notification or licence status, inspection results, and a complete register of every operating restaurant in Australia.

Columns supplied when data is available

  • Business name and public venue categories
  • Street address, state or territory, suburb or locality, city, and postcode
  • Website and available public-profile URLs
  • Business email addresses
  • Business phone numbers

Nationwide download or a custom territory?

Use the ready-made file when your offer fits several restaurant and hospitality types across Australia. Build a custom list when you need a narrower venue category, state, suburb, city, or postcode market, such as cafes in Greater Melbourne or pizza restaurants across selected Queensland localities. Menu, rating, licence, ABN, and ownership filters are not available.

How should you segment Australian hospitality venues?

Match the operating format to your offer before choosing geography. Australian industry classifications separate dine-in cafes and restaurants, takeaway services, and catering, while this product uses the public venue categories visible in the live breakdown rather than ANZSIC codes.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Using business contacts in Australia

Buying a marketing list does not transfer Spam Act consent. The sender remains responsible for proving express or valid inferred consent for every commercial email or message, identifying the sender, and providing a working unsubscribe route.

Read ACMA's Spam Act guidance
  • Keep recipient-level evidence of express consent or document why inferred consent applies to the relationship, role, and message.
  • Treat a publicly listed role address as inferred consent only when the message is relevant to that role and the publication does not reject unsolicited marketing.
  • Identify the authorizing business accurately and keep its contact details valid for at least 30 days after sending.
  • Provide a clear, free unsubscribe method, keep it functional for at least 30 days, and action requests within five working days.
  • Do not use or supply lists created with address-harvesting software.
  • Business telephone numbers used primarily for business cannot generally be added to the Do Not Call Register, but private or mixed-use numbers can be protected. Classify numbers before calling, wash lists when required, and follow the national calling-time, caller-ID, identification, and termination rules even for numbers not on the register.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these restaurant business contacts or diner email addresses?
They are public contact routes for restaurant and hospitality business profiles. The CSV does not contain diners, booking guests, loyalty members, delivery customers, or a venue's own marketing audience.
What kinds of Australian venues appear in the file?
Use the live breakdown to see the current scope. It spans restaurants, cuisine-led venues, cafes, coffee shops, quick-service businesses, bars, caterers, event venues, and additional listed categories, so it is broader than dine-in restaurants alone.
Will every restaurant profile have an email?
No. The available contact routes differ by profile. Review the current business, unique-email, and phone totals on the page and inspect the sample columns before purchasing.
Does the download identify restaurant owners or managers?
Not as a promised field. It provides public business-level emails and phone numbers when available, but it does not guarantee owner names, manager names, chefs, procurement roles, direct job titles, chain ownership, employees, or revenue.
Is this an official food-business register or the Australian Food Composition Database?
Neither. Food businesses notify the relevant local, state, or territory regulator, while the Australian Food Composition Database contains nutrient information about foods. SphereScout's product is a separate category-based business-contact CSV and includes neither regulator status nor nutrient records.
