What is included in the Norway restaurant list?

This downloadable B2B list helps suppliers find restaurants, cafes, bars, pizzerias, quick-service operators, caterers, and event venues across Norway. It contains public business profiles and contact routes, not diners, orders, bookings, or customer records.

What one row represents

A row represents a publicly listed venue or business profile. At most independent restaurants, its contact route will reach the owner or operating team; at a chain it may reach the venue, reservations, or a central function. It is not a main entity or sub-entity record from the Central Coordinating Register and does not prove Mattilsynet registration.

Venue types and contact routes in the selection

General restaurants are the largest group, followed by cafes and bars. The file also includes quick service, pizzerias, event venues, coffee shops, catering, burger restaurants, Italian restaurants, and the smaller groups visible in the current breakdown.

CSV columns when the value is published

Venue types and contact routes in the selection

  • Where a public profile supplies the value, the export can contain business name, categories, street address, county or region, municipality or local area, locality, postcode, website, social profiles, email, and telephone.

What the file does not contain

  • Diner names, private customer addresses, reservations, orders, loyalty records, menus, prices, reviews, or footfall.
  • Guaranteed owners, general managers, restaurant managers, chefs, or buyers, and no assured chain, franchise, employee, or revenue fields.
  • Main-entity or sub-entity organisation numbers, organisation form, industrial codes, VAT status, Mattilsynet registration, inspection results, serving licences, or alcohol licences.

CSV columns when the value is published

  • Business name and public restaurant or food-service categories
  • Street address, county or region, municipality or local area, locality, and postcode
  • The venue website, visible social channels, and a link to its map profile
  • Published business email when available
  • Published business telephone when available

All Norway or a practical sales route?

Combine venue type with available county, municipality, locality, and postcode. A buyer can isolate Oslo cafes, pizzerias along an eastern Norway route, or caterers and event venues around Bergen. Organisation form, industrial code, employees, revenue, Mattilsynet status, and licences are not filters in this export.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Using business contacts in Norway

Section 15 of Norway's Marketing Control Act generally requires prior consent when electronic marketing is addressed to a natural person. That requirement does not apply in the same way to a legal person reached through a business mailbox. A sole proprietorship or a named employee can still involve personal data and a natural recipient, so classify both legal form and address ownership before sending.

Read section 15 of the Marketing Control Act on Lovdata
  • Bulk-match business names and addresses against the Central Coordinating Register, retaining organisation number, organisation form, status, and match confidence. No match means unresolved, not sole trader.
  • Separate role mailboxes from addresses that identify people. Gmail, Outlook, and other webmail domains trigger verification; they do not prove legal form or private use.
  • Where personal data is involved, establish a lawful basis. If relying on legitimate interests, document purpose, necessity, expectations, and balancing, provide required information, and respect the direct-marketing objection.
  • Keep the offer relevant to the recipient's business activity, identify the sender, provide a simple opt-out, and apply one suppression list before every campaign.
  • Do not cold-email a natural person without documented consent or a fully applicable existing-customer exception. Publication of an address is not consent.
  • Telephone marketing has separate controls. Screen the Central Marketing Exclusion Register and your own objections before calls to consumers or natural persons, and state the caller and purpose clearly.

Classify the list before sending

Legal person with a confirmed business mailbox
EvidenceA strong register match identifies an AS or another legal person, while its website or address ties the mailbox to the operating business.
TreatmentRelevant B2B email can be addressed to the organisation without section 15 prior consent. Identify the sender, provide opt-out, and apply GDPR controls if another field identifies a person.
Natural recipient or sole proprietorship
EvidenceThe register form or contact evidence identifies a sole proprietorship, named person, or another natural recipient.
TreatmentDo not use unsolicited email without documented consent or an existing-customer relationship meeting every condition. Use another channel to generate a voluntary enquiry or opt-in.
Business or mailbox unresolved
EvidenceThere is no reliable register match, the name or address match is weak, webmail ownership is unconfirmed, or the source is stale.
TreatmentEnrich or verify before email. Do not treat webmail as proof of personal use or a registry non-match as proof of sole-trader status.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does every Norway restaurant profile have an email?
No. Contact coverage differs by venue type, and telephone is more common than email in the Norway selection. Limit an email campaign to rows where the email field is actually populated.
Can I filter by Norwegian county or municipality?
Use available county or region, municipality or local area, locality, and postcode values. Not every administrative level is normalized on every row.
Does every row equal one Norwegian company?
Not necessarily. One main entity can operate several venues, while a public profile can describe a location or concept. Main-entity and sub-entity organisation numbers are not supplied.
Does the CSV prove Mattilsynet registration?
No. Food-service businesses must register with Mattilsynet, but this CSV neither contains nor verifies that registration.
Can I cold-email every address?
No. Classify both organisation form and mailbox type. Relevant email addressed to a confirmed legal person is treated differently from email to a sole proprietorship or named person; obtain consent where section 15 requires it and meet GDPR duties whenever data identifies somebody.
