What is included in the New Zealand restaurant email list?
This is a downloadable B2B prospecting file for suppliers and service providers selling to New Zealand restaurants, cafes, takeaways, bars, caterers, event venues, and adjacent food retailers. It contains public business profiles and available contact routes, not diners, bookings, or customer audiences.
What one row represents
Each row represents one publicly listed business or trading location. For most small independent venues, the public telephone or email will reach the owner or operating team; a group may route it to a venue office or central team. The row is not an NZBN record, Companies Register entry, ANZSIC assignment, Food Act registration, or verification result.
Venue coverage and available business details
The current composition starts with cafes and general restaurants, then covers bars, specialist coffee, takeaways, pizzerias, caterers, event spaces, cuisine-led venues, and smaller retail groups. The New Zealand-specific dairy segment remains visible for buyers to include or exclude.

- Guaranteed owners, managers, chefs, buyers, franchise contacts, or job titles, and no employee counts, turnover, group ownership, or named decision-maker field.
- NZBNs, company numbers, legal form, company status, ANZSIC codes, Food Act registrations, food control plans, national programmes, verification records, or proof that every venue is currently operating.

Nationwide file or a New Zealand sales territory?
Use the prepared download for a broad hospitality campaign, or combine venue labels with the available region, territorial authority, city, town, suburb, locality, and postcode fields to form a narrower territory. Examples include cafes around selected Auckland postcodes, takeaway venues in Christchurch, or caterers across Wellington Region. NZBN, company type, ANZSIC, Food Act status, menu, rating, and turnover are not available filters.

Match the New Zealand venue format to your offer
Choose the operating format before narrowing geography. New Zealand statistics distinguish cafes and restaurants, takeaway food services, catering, and pubs and bars. SphereScout instead uses the categories shown on public profiles, including some edge categories that buyers can include or exclude from the live breakdown.
Restaurants and seated dining venues
Test ingredients, beverages, kitchen equipment, reservations, payments, tableware, linen, cleaning, and front-of-house offers with venues serving seated customers.
General restaurant together with Italian, Mexican, French, American, or breakfast venue labels
Takeaway and quick-service operators
Suitable for online ordering, delivery, packaging, payment terminals, compact equipment, refrigeration, and high-throughput servicing.
Takeaway-focused labels covering fast food, pizza, burgers, and sandwich shops
Cafes and coffee shops
Relevant to coffee and bakery supply, display equipment, refrigeration, point-of-sale, scheduling, local maintenance, and neighbourhood promotions.
Cafe and coffee-shop labels, adding patisserie or breakfast venues where relevant
Pubs, bars, and bar-and-grill venues
Use for beverage supply, refrigeration, furniture, entertainment, security, booking, cleaning, and venue-maintenance offers after checking the operating concept.
Bar and bar-and-grill categories
Caterers and event venues
Supports event equipment, food transport, temporary staffing, booking systems, venue setup, and commercial partnerships.
Catering service and event venue
Dairies and other edge categories
In New Zealand, a dairy is a small grocery or convenience shop rather than a dairy farm. Include this category for packaged food, drinks, refrigeration, payments, or local retail supply; exclude it when the offer is only for foodservice venues.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV
SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.
Match the displayed business categories
SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.
Structure available public details
SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.
Publish coverage and deliver the CSV
SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.
Using business contacts in New Zealand
A public or purchased email address is not blanket permission to send commercial messages. New Zealand's Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act requires express, inferred, or deemed consent. Deemed consent applies only when the address was conspicuously published by the person in a business or official capacity, no statement rejects unsolicited messages, and the message is relevant to that person's business role or duties. The sender carries the burden of proof.
Read New Zealand's official anti-spam guidance- Keep recipient-level evidence of express or inferred consent, or retain the original publication and document every condition relied on for deemed consent.
- Check the source for a no-marketing statement and make the offer directly relevant to the published business, role, function, or duty.
- Identify the authorizing business accurately and provide contact information that remains valid for at least 30 days after the message is sent.
- Include a clear, free, functional unsubscribe method and action requests within five working days.
- Do not use address-harvesting software or lists created with it to send unsolicited commercial electronic messages.
- When a record is personal information collected indirectly, assess Privacy Act principle 2 and provide the IPP3A notice unless a statutory exception applies; IPP3A has applied to new indirect collection since 1 May 2026.
- Maintain a suppression list so an unsubscribe or objection is not reintroduced during a later refresh.
- The electronic-message consent rules do not create permission for unrelated contact channels. For business calls, identify the caller, keep the purpose relevant, apply the Privacy Act when a number identifies an individual, and stop calling after an objection.
Classify each address before sending
