What is in this Australian cafe database?

This CSV combines public Cafe and Coffee Shop profiles across Australia for suppliers prospecting hospitality venues. It contains available business and location contacts, not customer data, named proprietors, verified ABNs, food-premises registrations, or guaranteed cafe managers.

What one row represents

One row represents a public cafe or coffee-shop location. A chain, franchise, roaster, or multi-venue hospitality group may appear once per trading address. The contact shown may reach front of house, the local operator, or a group office.

Included in this scope

  • Australian locations represented in the Cafe and Coffee Shop categories.
  • Available business emails, phones, websites, addresses, public links, and geographic fields.
  • Separate branch or venue profiles where multi-site operators maintain distinct public listings.

Not included

  • Diners, loyalty members, reservations, delivery accounts, reviews, or transaction histories.
  • Guaranteed owners, venue managers, chefs, buyers, employee counts, revenue, ABNs, franchise relationships, or group ownership.
  • An ANZSIC 4511 register, council food-business register, liquor-licence file, menu catalogue, or equipment inventory.
  • Proof of table service, takeaway volume, roasting, kitchen capability, specialty-coffee positioning, or wholesale buying authority.

Fields available when present

  • Cafe or coffee-shop name and public categories
  • Address, state or territory, suburb or city, and postcode
  • Website and public profile links
  • Business email addresses
  • Phone numbers

Need a state or service-area list?

Use the national dataset or choose the locations your sales and service teams can cover. Check each website to separate a neighbourhood cafe, specialty coffee bar, bakery-cafe, kiosk, roaster with a venue, or branded chain outlet.

Check the operating format before assigning the account

The same public category can cover very different hospitality operations. These checks determine product fit, visit economics, and who makes the purchasing decision.

Independent venue, franchise, or group branch?

Why it matters

A single-site owner can choose suppliers directly; a group may centralise coffee, equipment, technology, and major contracts while buying some services locally.

Fields to review

Name, website, address, public links

Seated cafe, takeaway counter, or coffee-led venue?

Why it matters

Table service, takeaway volume, food preparation, roasting, bakery lines, and drive-through operations change requirements for stock, packaging, labour, fit-out, and maintenance.

Fields to review

Category, website, address, phone

Can the location approve the purchase?

Why it matters

The public number may reach the venue, but national supply, equipment, and software decisions can sit with an owner, franchisee, operations manager, or head office.

Fields to review

Website, email, phone, venue name

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorisations.

  2. Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. Publish current counts and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and current record counts, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Using business contacts in Australia

Buying a marketing list does not transfer Spam Act consent. The sender remains responsible for proving express or valid inferred consent for every commercial email or message, identifying the sender, and providing a working unsubscribe route.

Read ACMA's Spam Act guidance
  • Keep recipient-level evidence of express consent or document why inferred consent applies to the relationship, role, and message.
  • Treat a publicly listed role address as inferred consent only when the message is relevant to that role and the publication does not reject unsolicited marketing.
  • Identify the authorizing business accurately and keep its contact details valid for at least 30 days after sending.
  • Provide a clear, free unsubscribe method, keep it functional for at least 30 days, and action requests within five working days.
  • Do not use or supply lists created with address-harvesting software.
  • Business telephone numbers used primarily for business cannot generally be added to the Do Not Call Register, but private or mixed-use numbers can be protected. Classify numbers before calling, wash lists when required, and follow the national calling-time, caller-ID, identification, and termination rules even for numbers not on the register.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are coffee shops included with cafes?
Yes. Cafe and Coffee Shop profiles are combined because Australian commercial results and hospitality buyers use the terms for an overlapping venue market. Coffee Shop remains visible in the breakdown.
Does one row always represent one company?
No. It represents a public business location. A company, franchisee, or hospitality group can operate several locations, so use the name, website, and address to identify related venues.
Is this an ANZSIC 4511 database?
No. ANZSIC 4511 covers cafes and restaurants serving food and beverages mainly for consumption on the premises. SphereScout uses public business categories and does not assign or verify ANZSIC classes.
Does every venue include an email address?
No. Email availability varies by public listing. Check the live email and phone coverage and masked sample before purchasing.
Are the phone numbers mobile?
Some are. 9,900+ businesses (36.1%) have a mobile number. The list has 10,000+ mobile numbers and 13,000+ landlines in total, in a separate Mobile Phones column.
