How to interpret Denmark business data

Choose the geographic level that matches the territory

Denmark is divided into 5 regions and 98 municipalities. Build territories from the available address, city or locality, and postcode; region and municipality are not guaranteed fields on every row.

Regioner, landsdele og kommuner

The CSV is separate from the official business register

Each row describes a public business profile or operating location and supplies the contact, category, and address fields available for it. The file does not include CVR or P numbers, legal form, DB25 code, accounts, food-business registration, or smiley inspection results.

Guide til produktionsenheder

Using business contacts in Denmark

Section 10 of Denmark's Marketing Practices Act generally requires prior consent for marketing by email, SMS, and other electronic mail. The ban applies to every recipient, including companies, public authorities, and general addresses such as info@. A GDPR legitimate-interest assessment may support processing personal data, but it does not replace the channel's consent requirement.

  • Do not treat a public email address as evidence of consent. A CVR match, custom domain, info@ inbox, or free-webmail address does not change section 10's general rule.
  • Send electronic marketing only when valid, voluntary, informed, and specific consent can be documented, or when every condition of the existing-customer exception for the sender's own similar products is met.
  • Identify the sender, make withdrawal easy and free, and retain opt-outs on a reliable suppression list.
  • Where data identifies a person, also document the GDPR basis, provide the required information, and stop direct marketing immediately after an objection.
  • Use the list for research, segmentation, and verification, but keep data availability separate from permission for the selected contact channel.

Telephone, physical mail, and electronic mail follow different rules. An email classification therefore does not decide whether a particular number can be called; check the recipient, prior objections, and the rules for that channel.

Verify permission before an email campaign

Verify permission before an email campaignEvidence requiredTreatment
Documented consentThe recipient actively agreed to marketing from the named sender about the relevant products, and the consent can be demonstrated.Email within the consent's scope and include an easy, free withdrawal route in every message.
Existing customerThe address was obtained during a sale, opt-out was offered both on collection and in every message, and the offer concerns the sender's own similar products.Use the exception only when every statutory condition is documented; it is not a general B2B exemption.
Public or purchased address without permissionThe address appears on a website, public profile, CVR record, or purchased list, but no consent or qualifying customer relationship exists.Do not send electronic marketing. The domain and the recipient's legal form do not change the result.

How SphereScout prepares this business contact CSV

SphereScout turns public business profiles into a category-and-location export. The process uses the business categories shown in the current page breakdown and keeps official registers, classifications, licences, and inspections separate from the file.

  1. 1

    Match the displayed business categories

SphereScout selects public business profiles matching the categories shown in the current page breakdown. These labels define the file's scope but do not replace official activity codes or authorizations.

  2. 2

    Structure available public details

SphereScout organizes the available business name, category, location, website, email, phone, and public profile fields, then normalizes and deduplicates contact values for export.

  3. 3

Publish coverage and deliver the CSV

SphereScout refreshes public business profiles regularly, publishes the latest collection date and available coverage totals, and delivers the selected records as a structured CSV.

Questions before choosing a list for Denmark

Can I buy a business email list for Denmark by industry?

Yes. Each industry row shows the current business count, the number of businesses with email, a masked sample and the one-time price when available. Open one file or use the custom builder to combine business categories.

Does every Danish business profile include an email address?

No. Public email availability varies by industry and business profile. The comparison table shows both the number of businesses with at least one email and their share of all businesses in each file.

Can I narrow a list for Denmark by location?

Use the custom builder when territory matters. Depending on the public profile, available fields can include region, municipality and city, town, district, or locality.

Does the Denmark CSV include official registration numbers or activity codes?

No. A row represents a public business or location profile. The current export does not include CVR-nummer, DB25 code, legal form, register status, employee count or revenue.

Does buying the file authorize marketing in Denmark?

Section 10 of Denmark's Marketing Practices Act generally requires prior consent for marketing by email, SMS, and other electronic mail. The ban applies to every recipient, including companies, public authorities, and general addresses such as info@. A GDPR legitimate-interest assessment may support processing personal data, but it does not replace the channel's consent requirement.

How do I receive the file after payment?

Once payment is confirmed, SphereScout prepares your CSV and emails a download link to the address entered at checkout.

Is this a subscription? Are updates included?

No. The listed price is a one-time payment for the file described at checkout. It does not include future updates unless explicitly stated. Platform subscriptions are separate.

Do the email counts guarantee delivery?

No. They count addresses present in the data, not successful deliveries or inbox placements. The percentage of businesses with email is not a deliverability rate.
