Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 took effect on 17 March 2024, after a compliance grace period that ended 16 March 2025, and is enforced by a Personal Data Protection Council under the Council of Ministers. The law requires consent before sending direct marketing, a clearly identified sender, and an opt-out mechanism at least as easy to use as the original opt-in.
